Your not so traditional elopement and wedding cinematographer // Based in Chicago and always with my camera ready to travel around the US and worldwide to capture elopements and weddings. I love traveling and documenting real love. I’m a sucker for love stories, I love the feeling of walking with my camera around my neck and capturing unique and memorable moments. When I’m not with my camera or behind my computer editing for countless hours, you can either find me playing with my dogs, making art and listening to indie rock or dancing to pop punk.
I lived the first 18 years of my life with the Caribbean shore as my backyard, raised by a Peruvian family in the small island of Dominican Republic. Even though palm trees and ocean fronts offered me endless inspiration, my real journey as a professional began once I left. In 2008 I brought myself to New York City, to study documentary filmmaking at the New York Film Academy. Later on I traveled to the country of my grandparents, Peru, to study fashion and nude photography at the Peruvian Institute for Art and Design. With each experience came opportunities to grow both personally and professionally which helped shape me as an artist.
With nearly a decade of experience in the visual arts, I now make my bed in the beautiful city of Chicago, an immense cultural hub with countless outlets for the arts. For a creative person, Chicago is a dream come true and it has helped to further my talent and sharpen my vision into what I call This Charming Heart; a multidisciplinary creative space where I get to live my life through my lens and share it with others. Cameras are my toys, my passion and I wake up everyday eager to put them to use.
Random fact about me: I have 3 huskies (yup, I can't wear black inside my home).

Hi, I am Sergio, I was born and raised in a very large family between Mexico and the United States. I have always been attracted to music videos, sci-fic movies, and soundtracks. When I grew up I had an alternative rock band and at the same time I studied graphic design, a few months before graduating I had the opportunity to participate in a contest with a graphic design team in the United States in which we won first place.
That opportunity helped me connect with more people, which is when I met my partner and we opened an advertising agency in Atlanta to which I was the creative director. Seven years ago I moved to Chicago and was fascinated by this city and my family inspired me to continue making a career in audiovisual art where I found a gift to capture time with image and sound.
Random fact about me: I love to watch movies with my wife and really enjoy to play "Lucha Libre" in the bed with my daughters.
